Welcome to Podcasting for Solopreneurs and FAQ Friday, where I answer a podcasting question in five minutes or less. Today's question is, how can I see the Apple Podcasts rankings? This question comes from Karen Castillo, host of the podcast Redefining Happiness. Karen is also a graduate of my podcast startup academy course. Hey, Karen. Thanks so much for listening. You get major street cred if you can say that you have appeared on the charts, which is incredibly valuable for the marketing of your business and your podcast. Now there's a lot more info and context that I could share about why the charts matter, what the different charts are, and how to appear on them, which is too much for this short episode. And so I'll refer you back to episode 84 for a full breakdown.

But to directly answer the question, my favorite way to see the Apple Podcast rankings is to use a tool called pod status. I use this personally, and you can sign up for a seven day free trial by using my link at the podcastteacher.com/podstatus. I'll also leave that link in the description for you in case you're multitasking. Pod status tracks your chart rankings, current and historical, and it also sends you a daily email of your placements. We are talking about Apple Podcast charts here, but it does track Spotify charts as well. You can go in and look at your past rankings as well as look at your peak position. Pod Status calls it out on each chart within the past thirty days. And there's also a report for the past twenty four hours that gives you an hour by hour breakdown.

So Pod Status is a super useful tool, and it's my favorite way to find out your rankings. If you have a podcasting question, click the send me your question link in the episode description, and I'll answer it in an upcoming episode. Until next time, happy podcasting.
